I just got a Samsung 730B on Black Friday, and I was looking at the DVI input, and it looks different than the connector on the video cards. I don't have a card w/ DVI, but I am planning buying one in a month or so. Is this how it's supposed to look? Maybe I'm being parranoid, but I just want to make sure it'll work before I can't return it.

The first photo (14-142-052-06.JPG) is a DVI-I, the second is a DVI-D.

A DVI-D cable will work with either one, but a DVI-I cable will only work with DVI-I, Unless you pull out some pins on the cable (not recommended for the faint of heart).

In short, use a DVI-D cable to connect the monitor and video card and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the help. One more question: What's the difference between DVI-D and DVI-D?
