EVGA X58 FTW3 motherboard-- possible to increase the multiplier to 24?

I swapped a Xenon X5660 into my X58 FTW3 motherboard. The X5660 is supposed to use a multiplier of 24. The X58 FTW3 seems to max out at 21.

I updated to the latest firmware, hoping that might help, but it did not.

Any way around that? It's holding me back a bit

Not that I'm aware of. If the board's bios multi maxes out @ 21, then you're SOL. Might try lowering the mem strap and overclock via FSB to get the desired cpu speed while keeping the mem speed in check.

24 would be the turbo multiplier...IIRC some boards would allow that, others not.
