They better have skipped Bulldozer and Piledriver alltogether, offering die shrink versions of Phenom II and releasing FX when they refined it well enough.

I know the architecture between Intel's quads like the Q6600 and the FX chips are different, but for some strange reason it seems that AMD's FX architecture is a step back to the Q6600 days.
