have companies ever attempted making "3d" glasses that display two individual images on each lense, similar to how our own vision works? it seems like it would be a logical step towards revolutionizing gaming, especially in fps's, since looking at two angles (left and right eye) increases perspective by a huge amount.
 
Yes their are a bunch of those out. The big problem is that most of those headsets give people splitting headaches.
 
there are some glasses out there but they don't do offset images. The problem I believe is the cost of equiptment for the enduser and just the complexity of the graphics. Don't look for it in the near future.
 
3D glasses have been out for a while. I remember Elsa (don't know if they're still around) use to offer them with their Geforce2/3 graphics cards, but from reviews back then they're not that good. Not sure of any current offerings or how they perform.
