So there is going to be three 7900 cards?

GeForce 7 7900GT 450MHz/1.4GHz 1.429ns (256MB) March 9/06 $299. us
GeForce 7 7900GTX 650MHz/1.6GHz 1.25ns (256MB) March 9/06 $499. us
GeForce 7 7900GTX512 750MHz/1.8GHz 1.1ns (512MB) April 3/2006 ...((7900 Extreme))... $599. us

And theres always room for a 7900GS too if they could make room some day?

Are they 24-pipe or 32-pipe?

If there only 24-pipe did they add more ROP's? from 16 to make it 24 ROP

I also here that the 90nm G71 GPU is the same as 90nm RSX GPU if so it would be like a Geforce 7 7900 @550MHz running clock for clock? or is it cut down some how?

Nvidia must of added it some new extras in to 90nm G71 like they did back with the FX5800 to the FX5900 in the same way! you would think?

What? The GT will only come out at a starting price of $299? Nah...can't be. Where did you get the pricing info? Well I certainly hope so! Then I can probably upgrade via EVGA's Step-Up really cheap then.

I heard it's just a shrunk 7800 die, no extra pipes or ROPs or whatever. If that's the case, then the performance should be very close to that of the x1900xtx..

Nvidia isnt dumb. They had plenty of time to make the 7900gtx crush the x1900xt

*cough* fanboy *cough*

I'm just bugging :) Hmm... I'm not sure about that crushing though...

Well the 7800GT's started dropping in price last week. All of them on the egg after MIR are sub $270( except the dual core and exotic cooler cards). I think they will be around $250 when the 7900's hit the shelf. So $299 isn't out of the question. It's kind of like when the 6800GS came out the GT was still more expensive but an inferior part. The 6800GS is a die shrink and cheaper to make. There dropping prices so that doesn't happen again.

I really doubt that. At least I hope not, hopefully the die shrink will go smoothly. Will this drive down the prices of the x1900 cards at all?

time will tell..

and i have to agree.. i doubt it will crush.. i bet it is the same or very slightly better..

then ati will put one out and nvidia just has to raise the bar slightly.. like they always have..

i can only hope they deliver a card that oc's well and have more "crushing" power though..

time will tell ..

for the love of jebus, present the source of information

lololz

i checked google for it using the information he copied and pasted
"GeForce 7 7900GTX 650MHz/1.6GHz 1.25ns (256MB)"
and it brought up a hothardware.com article that has since been removed by HH. This leads me to believe this information was either incorrent or not supposed to be known.

I tried and can't find any information online that shows the MSRP of 7900 series cards. Can you give as a link?

Is it necessary for nvidia to crush ati right now? perhaps its like how a cat plays with a mouse a little bit before he eats it. just teasing them, making them think they have a chance.

lol, i dunno. who has more money and power behind them in this moment, in the grand scheme of things? ATI or nvidia?

There is a synergetic relationship between nvidia and ati, i think

The big cards will be the G80 aka geforce 8800gtx and radeon r600, aka x2800xt.

notice the numbers keep going up or they use new symbols. The Geforce, Radeon, Pentium, Athlon trademarks have been around for a very long time and may be forever. They have way too much reconization to change.
