not looking for a powerhouse but i need something that will work with the 430w psu. this isn't my main system just a secondary system.

it's one of the mini-towers so it can take full size gpu's

Try R5000 series. Should be really cheap now. Also would be on par with that processor.

forgot about the budget and even though i'm subscribed to the thread i didn't get notified.

my mistake it's a nvidia 7950gt

budget is not a whole lot given the system. under a $100 would be nice..

the xfx 7950gt that's in there works but something a little newer would be nice.

need something that will work with the 430w psu..it's got 2 12v rails at +12V1@17A, +12V2@16A..

Well, my brother has a R5670 with E4400 on his pc, and usually the processor is bottlenecking. R5750 for cheap would be up a long way up from that ancient card. Since it is a not a pc for heavy gaming, I would opt for a rather silent card.

I doubt Rx6xx or Rx7xx class cards would load that psu. They are mostly lightweight.

quick ebay search found a few 5750's for around $60..that works

silence is good. something with cooling like msi's twin frozr setup would be nice.

The 5850 is a significantly better card and depending on the card it is usually a really good overclocker. I have mine up to 1000/1145 vs 725/1000 stock, I can run most games at 900/1140 without issue. See this comparison.
