Help me decide on a new wireless router?

I was looking at the Linksys WRT54gx with SRX and a couple of nics to go with it. Does anybody have any personal experience with this setup? If you have any experience with this setup please let me know the pros and cons? Does this router have a good firewall? I know Linksys has a lot of 3rd party software upgrades that were made for the 54g routers and I hope they will make some upgrades for this one. I know this setup is a little on the spendy side, but If this router is going to be fast, I am willing to pay for the speed.
