Help me set up a P4

This is what he wants.

CPU w/2.6+
Motherboard w/firewire/giga-lan/onboard sound 6 channel
RAM w/512 min
Video Card
Case w/350watt min/front usb+firewire

He has about $1000 to spend and might do a minor OC if its possible with the stock HS+fan.

This will be mostly for games.

For minor OC and a stable system, get a P4 2.8C with MO stepping for about $214 and should get you 3.4-3.6Ghz with Intel retail heatsink. Asus P4C800-E Deluxe ($180) is the board to get if your friend prefer Asus Brand. The I875 chipset w/PAT is better choice for minor OCers and easier when comes to chosing ram and compatibility. Don't save on video card the Ati Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB ($280) is the one to get.
