Alright so I have a pair of Seagate 320GB HDD and I've just filled the one almost completely full. I've heard in the past that it's bad to fill a harddrive completely full and to leave some space (about 1GB or so) so it doesn't slow down and fragment.

These are purely "media" drives so the only time they get accessed is when I access the media (music vids etc...).

My question is how much space should I leave? I currently have 1.5GB's free. Is that enough?

Well.. will the Contents Change on em?
If not Defrag em... then fill the remaining space...
If all you will do is Read from them, I do not see any reason why not fill em.

No the contents won't change. I basically fill one up, when it's full I move on to the next one.

Yeah I'm just reading from them too.
