hey guys i was givven this ide to sata connector, so i stick it on my hd and then use a sata cable to the onboard sata but does it make it faster?
i would think not but this other guy thinks it will it made by abit but i would use it on my 80gb ide seagate and my asus mobo.

it needs a bit of extra power though it want a floppy power connector also

I have one of these and benchmarked my HD's with and without it using SiSoft Sandra 2004 and saw absolutely no benefit to using it. The only benefit to it is to get rid of the big fat IDE cables really ;)
