Install malware through Cortana ?

Researchers have announced they will demonstrate how they are able to bypass the password-protected Windows 10 lock screen and then install malware from a website, through Microsoft’s digital assistant, Cortana. The demonstration will take place during Kaspersky’s Security Analyst Summit that will be held from 7th till 11th March in Cancun, Mexico.

I'm actually curious about this one, had no idea we could activate Cortana in the login screen (always disable her straight away after Windows install)

The log in screen, as i understand it... is simply a curtain. Many, but perhaps nkt all, process still start while on the login screen. It wouldnt surprise me if cortana is active at that point. But, this is just a guess too...

It's true, I have turned on my PC walked away and Netflix will start playing an ad. Even though I'm not "logged" in and the login screen is still up. Put in my PW and there's Neflix playing away with Chrome already open. Not one of my favorite Win10 "features".
