low budget and interim proposed update for a newer Ingeneral purpose system:
going from Kaby Lake 7600k
Fatality Z 270
GTX1060
Hyper 212 plus
to: i5 11400
AsusROG Strix B560
re-using all other items ie. case,dvr,RAM,Power supply etc.

Plse comment on MOBO and Cpu choices, as well as timing of purchases. Windows 11 is imminent.

Don't buy anything for the sake of Windows 11 at this time.

Yep agreed. Win10 will be supported for another 4-ish years per their current dates. I don't think you have any reason to rush for that specific purpose of Win11.
