Hey guys, it's been a while but glad to be back! Anyway, I need some quick help with a purchase. The babes is starting her masters deg and I wanted to get her a new laptop. Non negotiables, as per her request, are as follows:

-Can manage 10 tabs without lagging
-Fast WiFi connection
-Long battery life
-Light
-Tablet flipping (touchscreen)

I know I know, she'll be watercooling rigs in no time, but now this'll do.
Would like for it to come out under $500-550. Let me know if you guys know of anything and thanks in advance!

Yea I figured as much, worst case I'll wait till late Nov but I'm going to try to get it done by end of this week if the deal makes sense. Thanks for that recommendation Daleon! That's one of the highest quality ones I've seen for the specs I'm requesting. Definitely worth some mulling over.

I'd just worry about that processor, and would like to check out the timings on those 4gb. Goddamn these vendors and their lack of specificity when talking specs😤 But it's a great deal! Thanks!

11.6" screen is smaller than I would care to use as a laptop. Tablet sure, but for real work it would drive me nuts.
Yeah that Celery going to be terribly slow running Windows. Could look into these:

Go to 11" 2-in-1 models:

Then there's this one, even nicer than the Acer for the same price.

What is she majoring in? Something that involves a lot of stuff like 3D CAD or video editing would take a lot more than writing.
