You are better off for getting the agility. The Solid 2 Series are not near as fast as the Agility/Vertex.

I have a pair of the solid 2 series in raid-0 and they're plenty fast for me for the price.

I see very little difference if any from the Agility/Vertex ones.

I haven't used the S2S, but I have heard when compared, people noticed them to be slower. For the price, I would buy the Agility, but if it was $99 for 60GB, I may get one for the wife's PC.

I believe the Solid 2 series uses the same firmware and controller as the Agility and Vertex, but slightly inferior flash memory. Doesn't make a huge difference, but probably just a little slower.
