Ok, clock in Windows has been going really fast... like ever 2 days it's advanced 5 minutes. Any thoughts on this, it's just kinda annoying... I head to school, double check my cell phone... computer says 7:10a and cell phone says 6:55a, lol. Any way to get the online time to update more frequently, or to fix this problem? Motherboard is an Abit Nf7.

only time oive seen anything like it the clock was slowing and it was due to the cmos battery
you might wanna check that out with a multimeter

edit:check the charging voltage to the battery

I had this problem too. I downloaded the atomic clock sync utilityhere
and it automatically calibrates your clock whenever you're online. I wouldnt be surprised if there's a better way of fixing the problem, but it does the trick.

My Soltek board has a system clock problem also.

Too slow ... loses 5-12 minutes over an eight hour period.

For a long time it would only lose time when the system was OFF
& the power cord was connected. Disconnecting it after shutdown was
the only way the clock would stay on time.
Now it loses time when the system is running too. :-/

Before you ask ...
.... no, I haven't installed any clock programs.
and yes, I have tried other batteries too.

And I'm not alone. Other Soltek owners (different model boards)
have had similar problems.
We have contacted Soltek and they cannot reproduce the glitch
at the factory. They even asked me to try different BIOS
but that didn't solve anything. :(

I didn't even know there were more people having an issue with soltek boards and the clock, because I did also, but I think it was un-related. I fixed mine, I fixed the BIOS clock and I checked "Automatically Synchronize with Atomic Clock", so its always right now.

Perfect, all I needed. Thanks !! :)

I posted something regarding this issue a few months ago. I too, rely on the atomic clock synch, but I find it odd that the system clock should run fast. Here's another odd bit... The gain in the clock is directly proportionate to the FSB increase over stock. Look at the sig for specs
