i figure it's time to upgrade my good ol' 1.6a p4, g4 mx440 system. I have about 900 to spend on everything except a monitor. At first i was set on an Xp-M but saw some benches and changed my mind to a A64 system. So if you can evaluate my build and give me suggestions on saving money would be appreciated.

Looks like a pretty cool system. A few things to note:
- The 6800GT will provide a boost over the 6800NU, probably worth the extra $$$ if you can afford it.
- The 350W Forton *should* cope I would think (they are good PSUs) but dont try and run 3432783 hard drives off it or anything.
- 1GB RAM may help when it comes to newer games, although 512MB should be fine for most.

As of video cards on the market, i'm pretty set on taking my chance with a 6800nu and the possibility of a successful softmod. I just can't wait a couple months for a 6600GT agp or for PCI-E for amd boards. I wish there was a cheaper case with equal cooling capabilites as the SLK3700AMB but it's just hard to beat. Unless someone convinces me that the onboard sound is tolerable then i might lose the sound card along w/ the speakers. I just want to stay in the area below 950 for the whole system.
