Hello, I was set on buying the P8Z77-V Pro ($200) because I didn't think that the TB alone on the P8Z77-V Pro/Thunderblot ($240) was worth the extra $40. But now I see in the spec that the PCIe is slightly different on the boards

P8Z77-V Pro: 2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (x16 or dual x8)
P8Z77-V Pro/TB: 3 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16

I'm assuming both board support a single GPU in x16, and dual SLI in x8 x8. So what's the difference between that.

Finally, how do you feel about the TB technology. Does it look like it is something here to stay and maybe become big? Or is it just another attempt to squeeze some extra cash out of people.

I still lean more toward the Pro but tbh wouldn't mind the extra $40.

Thanks

There isnt a difference between that.

TB is not getting any traction so far. The devices seem too expensive at this time.
