ok i am making my own power cable for new build. Now all these sleeved wires look messed up not straight, criss crossed etc. Now on stock 24 pin there are black, orange, read, yellow, and a few misc. Can the black, red, orange, yellow go in the other spots....hmm this is hard to explain

Say i have two yellow wires and they cross

X - like so

Can i do this

|| - like so

will it still work fine?

As long as yellow goes to a spot that yellow went to, yes.
If you put yellow where red used to be, or any other color, things will die.
Ditto for any other color. Colors must stay the same, but which wire of that color does not matter.

Glad I could help!

My prelude is pretty much retired, needs a bunch of misc work including a clutch, and the windshield is leaking due to rust :(
I'm one of those people now, with a civic.
