How are those calculated and set? They're all set on auto and if you keep pushing ram higher, there's one particular timing that goes from 139 to 174 then 228. I don't remember exact numbers, it it doesn't matter. How are those picked?

For example, my ram is 667(ddr3-1333) and pushing beyond that main timings stay at 9-9-9, but that other one keep increasing. There are no jedec specs beyond 667 on my ram

Any thoughts?
 
O, so BIOS is responsible for them? How does it know if theyll work or not?
