Statistics for Week Ending 01/30/2011

So, taking an idea from another thread that I believe QuietIce started last year, he was posting statistics for the top 10 stats for the team. I've taken that a step further and wrote some software that will gather all the info and I can generate weekly for the team. Currently, I have it set to top 60, but can change to more or less rather quickly.

Anyway, if no one objects, I'll start posting weekly updates to RAC/credit and while this week the number in () are 0, next week it would show relative up/dowm/no-change from the previous week for your account.

Sorry for all the "." for the formatting, I guess the powers-that-be that set up this forum did not install all the normal BB codes like [oldtable] and [nbsp] so that I could format the data more easily. So I've used the extra "." to line up the columns of data better.

Feel free to leave any feedback for improvements, or other statistics that the team might want to see over time.

I Favor the 2nd One. (I'm on that One):bday::bday:

But otherwise good idea.

Well in 4 months or so, you should be showing up on the other graph I would think :).

Anyway, next weeks post will be a bit more interesting as it should show how much people have moved up or down... a bit more trend info.

Just for fun *shrug*.

Oh, and I turned hyper-threading off my main rig, so I should be able to see empirically how much that helps or doesn't with overall throughput. Seems to be quite a bit faster actually for me just looking at average times for a day.

Eventually I'll be able to start the Milestones Thread again but I'm more than happy to permanently turn over the weekly RAC report to you! :)

(BTW - to make the ". . ." disappear use [*color=#333333]. . .[*/color] . . . . . . . . . . without the asterisks, of course. ;))

If you can figure a way to program the Milestones as well that would be great - but I'm not holding my breath. Milestones are when people break certain point totals like 250k, 500k, 1M, 2M, 10M etc. There's a thread around here somewhere where I outlined what I was reporting for Milestones and I've increased the starting number a couple of times. It was originally 100k but it's soooo easy to get there now that I've raised it to 250k, I think. But what you use is up to you if you do it. I've done it by hand for three (four???) years now and it's a real PITA. If you can program it then that would be fantastic! :)

Ahh, that helps quite a bit to make it a tad more legible. Didn't know it would accept any hex html color! Wish it could support the table/tr/td tags though, then i wouldn't have to use fixed-width fonts.

Anyway, its all automated now. I've re-posted the numbers, some are a tad off from yesterday because the numbers are up to date as of today.

Actually, this would be pretty easy to do, and I could use the same database that I already created. I'll just add a little chunk of code to generate the milestone report. Want to articulate the milestones that you'd want beyond 10M? I can even report on people getting close to milestones by say XXX%. I can even update the existing reports to say which milestone the person is working on next.

Let me start with the milestone report, and I can add the rest as we go. Can you find the other post, or think you can itemize the milestones you'd like to see reported? Will be much easier for me to do than having you do by hand.

Oh, and Saaby, I can fudge the numbers just for you... just have to keep it on the down low

Currently reporting as shown:
250k
300k
400k
500k
750k
1M
1.25M
1.50M
2M
2.5M
3M
4M
5M
6M
7M
8M
9M
10M
12.5M
15M
17.5M
20M
then every 5M above 20M

The lower splits are there so our part-time crunchers and people with older rigs don't get left out. I think if you look through the Milestones 2010 thread you'll see what I mean. :)

BTW - for something other than a blank space I've found [*color="DarkSlateGray"] with periods (no spaces) works pretty good so people can follow the line over without a problem. Yeah - it's kind of a pain not having a tab-type function. :-/

PS
A couple of suggestions for RAC reporting. Drop the digits after the decimal, they're really not needed and, as you've just shown, those numbers change throughout the day, anyway, so it's not like 0.1 RAC counts for much.

Second, I (personally) end up with two columns that don't quite fit in my browser window with the layout you have now. I don't know how much that would effect anybody else, though. I have a 1680x1050 screen but run the browser and e-mail side-by-side so the browser window will show a full 1024 pic but not much else. For exmple, the first few "lines" shows up like this in my window. I think I (manually) truncated the names to 20 places, maybe 24 places, in the older Milestones threads.

There are some other things I did as well - but we can talk about those later when everything else gets up and running. For example, I noted movement into Top XX catigories. Not as easy to program but shouldn't be too hard if you have a db to work with. I'm fine with vBasic but never could figure out how to get and translate the db with the SETI stats so I could use it. :(

Oh, this is perfect info.

Let me also tighten up the report itself so that it will fit width-wise. I never notice things like that because of my monitor. But I bet i can bring it quite a bit if people don't mind truncating worst case.

So you think i should maybe put the padding "." back in as DarkSlateGray to help visually align? That is doable as well. Let me tinker a bit and throw it back out at you all.

EDIT: Updated original posting of stats with some of the formatting feedback. Should be narrower to fit better on monitors. There's an off-by-one error somewhere in my code that is formatting the RAC report slightly wrong. Will track it down soon (after pizza :)). Will start working on the milestones. Most likely will have something for people to give feedback later tonight.

The new formatting is much easier to follow, and it fits on my browser page better as well. Again, thanks for putting the work into this.

Wait, when did I break into the top 10 in RAC? I gotta start checking up on these stats more often. I was so busy checking out the formatting earlier I didn't actually look at the numbers.

Any One got a spare AM3 Cpu? I now have a spare mobo and geforce 210 that need some work .

How much is the cheapest dual core?

And by the way I got my WC set up!!!! :comp: . So now it is time to make a push to the top. Needed more Ghz

You can get AM3 duallies on ebay for ~$45 with free shipping. They should get a little more RAC than the single core semprons.

EDIT: On second look, those are Athlon X2s. Did those come out for AM3? The seller might have them listed wrong.
