Stop New Hardware Wizard In XP

Can anyone tell me how to disable the new hardware wizard in XP I have fixed an old Pentium 3 laptop and it always asks for a game port driver which Windows Update cant provide for and I cant find it anyway because its a useless game port I want to disable it.

Disable the port in the bios?

Or if you cant disable it in the BIOS, let it install a generic driver/unknown driver and disable it in the device manager.

Yeah, go to Device Manager then Right Click on the item and Disable.

Now it will no longer bother you. Good luck.
