GPU3/Fermi P6805 on adv

GPU3/Fermi P6805 on adv

Hi,

There will be a new GPU3/Fermi project 6805 for adv testing soon. This is our second-stage sampling of the amyloid beta peptide (Abeta) configurations.

Points and deadlines: 1280 points, preferred deadline 5 days, final deadline 10 days

Note: We have changed our benchmarking machine for GPU3/Fermi WUs from GTX480 to GTX460. Before, we would have a consistent PPD=12889 for GTX480. Now we are using PPD=9787 for GTX460. This PPD=9787 for GTX460 was chosen using Villin (p10632; 611 points) as the standard since Villin (number of atoms=582) is of medium size.

Thanks!

Hi,

The GPU3/Fermi project 6801 will be moved onto fah soon. This is our second-stage sampling of the amyloid beta peptide (Abeta) mutant configurations.

Points and deadlines: 1348 points, preferred deadline 5 days, final deadline 10 days

I'm doing 6801 on both atm and the Evga is at 11.5k PPD and the MSI is doing 13.3K

So I thought that was odd and realized I had lost my shader OC on the 1. They are both doing 11884 again.:chair:I had them linked together, don't know how they varied.
Whats your shader at on the MSI Wega?

I'm actually running at 979/1958Mhz Core/shader at the moment... Dunno why it's that low, must have placed the slider wrong last time I benched. I normally run at 987Mhz when folding.

wow is getting gtx460's worth it?

my gts450 is rocking out at a solid 8000-8500 on 1280 credit I paid 80$ shipped for it(shaders are 1800)

P6801 - 4550 PPD?

WTH?

I thought this was an error, so I deleted the work folder, etc. like I did just recently, but I kept getting this same WU.

Looks like the shader dropped back to 810. A reboot most likely will take care of it, but may need to reload/update the driver.

I think I killed the GPU.

I updated the Nvidia driver, rebooted and it still downclocks the shader to 810 no matter what I set it to. :(

That's no good. What about if you are running something other than F@H? Like a game, for example?
Also, how are your temps? It shows 38c in the pic, but that seems pretty low for running F@H on a GPU. Is that temp correct?

The fan was set on AUTO and that GPU temp is correct as far as I know.

I shut down the F@H and at 810 shader just typing this, it is at 40C with 0% GPU usage.

It was running fine until I started increasing the shader by 50 points upto 1750 I think.

:(

And I don't play games. I only Fold.

It seems as though your temps are OK then; and that you seem to have good cooling.

If the other folks run out of ideas, perhaps your can RMA it of all else fails?
Alternatively, do you have another machine that you can use this card in? Then we can verify that it's the card malfunctioning and not the computer.

I'm not using Rivatuner (I could never get it to work for me properly). I'm using EVGA Precision which has been working perfectly.
