I'm looking at one of these bad boys. Just wondering what you peeps out there think of it. Is there something better then this out there?? Let me know.... I want it to be 20in. or bigger. I'm new to the LCD world and all I do is play first person shooter type games on my PC.

My current monitor is a (CRT)ViewSonic Graphics Series G810 20in.:)

This is the one I'm looking at.

But anyway i think that i would go to ebay and try to find it their first. How much does it cost new?

Right now, the best 20+ Inch LCD is probably the Dell 2001FP. It uses the new LG Philips 20.1" 16ms flat panels, that supposedly will lower response times more uniformly over all colors.

If your a gamer u don't want a lcd it will save u some space on your desk but your game will suffer because of the lower performance u get the only good thing about a lcd is there smaller.

Ray has a point about LSDs.. but only so far..
If you are a FPS play and will accept no compromise then a TFT is not for you...
on teh other hand.. wieghing up against space and looks against FPS useage a TFT can be a good buy..

Im getting a hercules 920 Pro/Dvi (20ms) as soon as they come back into stock.. I plan on playing FPS mainly.. but space is a consideration for me..

Iv read that realy for FPS only 20ms or lower is realy any good.. 25 might show some ghosting..
The LG panels are good but again according to reviews they dont show all colours as correctly as 20ms panels.
From what Iv read for gaming the rule of thumb is 17" TFT @20ms or less unless its the Dell2001

do a google search for TFT reviews or check anandtech or even Toms.. (I know alot of people dont like Toms n some article there are not very good, but the TFT showdows are very detailed and appear to be written by someone who knows what he's on about:eek: )
