I 'upgraded' my system to Vista but it wont recognize my storage drives I had setup on XP. I can boot into XP and see my drives, but not in Vista.
Disk management in Vista see's the drives but wants to initialize them, which will delete everything from them. Is there anyway to get my music and photos into Vista? They are PATA drives, if that makes a difference.

I have a similar set up for all my vids and pics with external drives... It has no problems seeing them, and I'm not aware of any problems or conflicts. I assume the initialization process sets up the indexing framework that is part of Vista. I think you are fine.
