Warning about custom boot screens and SP2!

I installed Style XP for the first time ever last night and one of the first things I did was tweak the boot screen. I kept reading over and over how much people liked style xp I decided to try it out. I have changed the boot screen to the pirate screen, and changed the theme, visual style and heck anything else that I could click that would change something I changed just to have some fun with it. All seems to be good and no crashes. (aside from the normal OC testing crashes)

I am using StyleXP 2.13 and all is well.

Do you have sp2 installed though??

Can somebody who has a second partition or a windows xp boot disk test the resource hacker method? That's the way I've always done it and I'd really like to know if it works...

Yep, I was one of the first people on this board to install SP2 RC

Like Chris_F said, you can extract and replace the boot screen graphics from ntoskrnl.exe with ResHacker.
