Ok, so I have been readin online that the memory multipliers of the Intel Core i7 were locked to 8x and 6x. However, recently I have heard that they have been unlocked.

The question I have, what are the new memory multipliers? Currently the Intel 965 EE has multipliers of 6x (800 MHz) 8x (1066 MHz) 10x (1333 MHz) and 12x (1600 MHz)

If the memory multipliers are unlocked, does this mean the Uncore is unlocked as well? Due to the fact that the Uncore has been stated to be 16x for 920/940, memory mutli is stuck at 8x max.

I need to know maximum mutlipliers for the memory and Uncore of 920/940 processors. Otherwise, you cannot use above 1066 MHz memory without overclocking the Bclk frequency of 133.
