here's the situation. i'm pretty limited on funds but am looking to get a big upgrade to my comp. my current mobo doesn't support oc'ing my current cpu (XP 2400+) and my current case only has 1 80mm fan slot, in the back. here are the links to the things i'm lookin to get. what do you guys think? good buys? suggestions? note: 92mm fan is for the heatsink, 80mm fans are case fans.

also, is the 2500+ worth another 80 bucks when i don't have 80 bucks to spend when i already have a 2400+? thanks!

also #2, i have an ati 9800pro and XP home

Depending on how old your 2400+ is, it may be better than the 2500+.

The new chips are all locked. Unless you find one that's been sitting around forever, you won't be able to OC it (at least not the mult). The old thoroughbreds were extremely oc'able. Is your 2400+ a thoroughbred? I can't remember if there are palominos in that speed range.

MRD

No, pallys didnt go that high. If your going to get a barton, get a mobile one. They are not multi locked and are hand picked for speed and stability.

i dunno if its a thoroughbread or not. i think its pretty new though...
it came with my emachine s2485 if u wanna do some research.
i know a guy with new 2800+ that he could just oc in the bios...someone told me that they are only locked for certain mobo's or something, or maybe that certain bios' could unlock them or something... i probly sound retarded so imma stop talking :)
