I have the Asus 9800XT in this sytem (crap system, can't wait to build my new system 
).
It's not loud at all (this is subjective, could be loud for you, I have no idea).
Anyway, it's really great looking. Doesn't OC insanely but that's probably due the non-existing airflow in this , no case fans... If I had them then it would be a bit higher I think.
Now it's 440/380 with no artifacts in 3dmark and games like UT2003, Half-Life, SoF II, RTCW-ET,... on stock cooling.
If you see between the two fans on the card you can see a small heatpipe, but if this really helps... I don't think so
