Will my Motherboard support Nvme drive ?

I have a MSI Z97 karit edition motherboard all i want to know is will it support Nvme drive . it says it supports M.2 but M.2 & Nvme are different right.

from the manual:

The M.2 port supports either M.2 SATA 6Gb/s module or M.2 PCIe module.

Intel RST does not support PCIe M.2 SSD with Legacy ROM

also be aware that SATA ports 5 and 6 will be disabled when using the m.2 port.
