With DDR5 on the horizon, we have entered into the final phase of DDR4 DRAM IC production. Lately, speedy XMP profiles have emerged such as 4400 CL16 and 3800 CL14, which are a far cry from the early days of DDR4. Not to be out shadowed, companies like Micron and SK Hynix have been pushing the high-frequency limit and making great advancements there as well. Today we have the opportunity to test one such memory kit that's pushing the high-frequency limits. ADATA sent us their Spectrix D50 Extreme, which has an incredible XMP rating of 5000 MHz CL19.

Somewhat surprised to see these using Hynix DJR rather than Micron Rev-E; on the other hand the latter has a reputation for not getting along well with Intel while DJR seems platform-agnostic.
