Since this is gen hardware. It does not apply to any specific platform. All I ask, is this not be a debate on energy conservation. Your more than welcome to create a thread on that.
What provoked me to create this thread.
I have a AMD le-1100 That has kind of surprised me... It had an uptime of 190 days. It quietly sat in a corner doing what it was supposed to.
While my personal machine only has had an uptime of 45 days. I am still impressed with that crappy box and it sitting there waiting to do it's job.
Routers, servers, personal, folding boxes and media units. Pretty much what this is about,
.... Leave VCR and your set-tops out please. Unless you built/modded it for a specific role.

Terminal | uptime
Apple
Treehugger | anal... Just kidding..
Teminal | uptime
