So my ping sucks for gaming but I recently saw ads for cloudfare dns to improve ping will this work?

Changing your DNS won't improve ping times in games, so no, it won't work. It may make your browser feel snappier, if your current DNS server is slow. However, don't pay for a DNS service. Google (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and Cloudlfare (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1) have free DNS servers and they are very fast.

Don't change the DNS servers. They do not decide the ping times of games.
You will have to set up fast DNS servers but instead focus on the speeds of the Internet that you use.

Increasing the Internet speed will solve the games lagging issue.

This is only true if you are saturating your internet connection; so it likely won't help.
