anyone ever take apart a igloo cooler and use its cooling system.

from what I understand is it uses somekind of pelt that draws 48watts and has 50,000hr brushless motor:eh?:
 
Yep, they are based on a TEC. I don't know specifically about the Igloo, but they vary on wattage ... etc. What do you have in mind specifically?
 
I have heard of people [don't know how successfully though] using them as a chiller in a water system, but never as a duct cooler. If it's less than ambient temperature, you should have some gain.
 
That would definetely work. So they have 48 watts of cooling power? That is not alot but it could get the case temp down some. If you get it to work you should post pictures.
