Hi,

I've just purchased 2x256Mb Kingston HyperX PC3500 CL2. Im not very happy with them. Before these i had common Kingston PC2700 256MB x 2 sticks. With my earlier memorys i used bios's default memory timings, which were 2.5-3-3-6, if i'd changed them, my computer couldnt boot. And now, with my brand-new HyperX memorys i have the same problem, if i change the timings even from auto to the manual, and i keep the timings exactly same, it would not boot anymore and i have to re-install bios battery.

HyperX memorys didnt gave any increase to my overclocking capabilities, max FSB=163, DDR424 (2400@2934, 18x163). Bios is the latest official, F8a. CPU temperatures are always quite good: 34-38C (93-100F). What would you guys suggest to try?

Gigabyte 8SQ800Ultra (BIOS F8a)
P4B (533) 2400@2875 (at least its reliable :)
Cooling: Thermalright SLK-800U with 92mm Papst (19db)
Kingston HyperX 256MB PC3500 CL2 184-pin x 2 (2.5-3-3-6 !!!)
Gainward GeForce 4 Ti-4200 (300/600)
Samsung V80 160GB x 3 / IBM Deskstar 180GXP 120GB
Antec TruePower 430W / Antec PLUSVIEW1000AMG
Philips Acoustic Edge
WIN XP PRO SP1a

These were the most important references of my computer :)
