i need to know what options for fsb and memory ratios are available on the p4p800. i know for the p4c800 there is only 400, 320, 266 which are 1:1, 5:4, and 3:2
The 4:5 ratio is available only with FSB from 133 to XXX MHz chipset clock. I don't know exactly the highest clock at which the 4:5 ratio can be used (I don't have Intel chipset mobo), but I know for sure, that it is unavailable at clock 200 and over.
4:5 is intended to run memory at 166 MHz (DDR333) while CPU runs at 133MHz (FSB533).
my friend just said he has it. 333 on his p4p800 is giving him 4:5 cuase he is at 150fsb and ram reads 187fsb. so how is that then?
I would ask him what else it reads, but he is as sharp as a spoon.
You must have a "B" series pentium? Sorry, I assumed it was a "C" series like mine. With a 800 mhz fsb cpu I don't think the 4:5 is available. I did have my fsb below 200 when I first got the board and don't recall seeing that multiplier.
