Middle of Nowhere and getting lost fast!
OK all, so I've been out of the loop purchasing memory for about a month now, but when did DDR prices go through the roof again?

I purchased a set of GeIL PC3200 256MB CAS2 sticks (with which I am very satisfied, I might add) for $54/stick. The same sticks are now $65.

I also purchased some cheapo Viking sticks for an office comp for $33/stick. Now they're $55/stick.

What gives guys? Did I miss some major marketplace shift? I mean, I can't even get a cheapo 512 PC2700 stick for the office for under $97? Dang....

see the other threads on this, but to me it's supply and demand. and without memory, your comp is nothing. so ram companies are turning in to the olpeck's of memory.
