Currently on my XP pro computer when I plug in my Thumb Drive I get the mount failed sound. I go to the hardware manager and it gives me this error:
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)"
But, It does not say how to fix it, when I reboot it fixes the problem for a little while but then it happens again. I want a permanent soloution or atleast one that does not require rebooting. And the problem is not limited to the one USB port, it affects ALL of them.
