page file

Hi, I had 768 mb of memory i put a 512mb in now i have 1g,wondering my page file for VM is 1152ini size 2304 max size do i leave it at that? or change it, or do no paging file?

At the very least you should set the min & max to the same value so windows isn't constantly re-sizing it. With 1Gb I tend to prefer 512Mb min & max. If you set it to no page file some goofy program will eventually request huge chunks of ram and windows will create a page file anyway.

Thanks Timonex for reply ill try that ,had it set seen in alot of posts that say changeing it to 1.5 times what your ram is.but like your idea better
