For sum reason every time i load a cd into my comp i get a blue screen and have to restart...whats goin on?!

I've never seen a BSOD randomly pop up in the middle of XP, especially Pro.

Are you overclocked at all? Try going back to stock. It may be a hardware issue, try running a full pass (all tests) of memtest86, then a while of prime95. Any errors?

no i havnt o/c'd nething...and i dont think its the drive that would cause a BSOD= /

It could still be bad ram, I still suggest giving memtest86 a try. I'd also try re-installing your IDE drivers, and making your hardware is setup properly (in the bios and master/slave configuration).
