installing TDX waterblock on A64 and need help please

Hi guys. As the topic says, I'm installing the TDX on my A64 now. I was wondering if the plate that screws into the backplate is needed when installing it, or can I just install the block on the CPU itself without support of that bracket thing. Thanks.

p.s. it's a socket 939 block if that helps.

Just take the plastic bracket thing off.
