hi
i've been reading another thread called: Memory Dividers, why don't people use them?
in that thread, some people have listed their memory bandwidth from memtest
everyone's bandwidth seems to be above 2000MB/s
sorry for double posting...
i did ask my question in that thread, but someone told me to post in the memory section, as there are lots of memory guru's
i downloaded the latest memtest image (1.60)
but when i run it it tells me that my memory b/w is less than 2000MB/s
i struggle to keep mine in the 1800's
at the moment it reads 1697MB/s
does anyone have any ideas why? what's wrong?
even if i set the ram to 250MHz 2.5-5-5-9 it only registers as 1953MB/s
also i was told that winrar has a built in benchmark (just open it and press ALT+b) and a score above 500 is a pass
at the moment, i score 497-499
not exactly fast for an athlon64
