anyone got any recommendations? i need one that will allow me to create menus and all that good stuff and then let me burn. doesnt necessarily have to be free.

DVD authoring program

I went with a free solution: GUI for dvd author. http://www.videohelp.com/~gfd/ It's a bit overwhelming at first, but for the price it's great to create simple dvd layouts.

I have always enjoyed TMPGENC DVD Author and also thought Ulead's Movie Factory was good for taking the home video camera and making DVD's.

bah i forgot to mention, i need something that supports widescreen. do these do so?

I know TMPGENC does.

I forget about widescreen but I know Nero has the ablity to do menus and what not. I think the plugin you need for it is Vision Express but not positive.
