Upgrading question

I have a D845GBV2 and it only has a FSB of 533, I was looking at upgrading to a Prescott 3.0GHz and it has a FSB of 800. Now to my question, Will the motherboard run the processor at the maximum 533 it supports or will it not run at all? Thanks.

It's hard to say with an Intel board...I would guess it wouldn't run it at all...but can't be sure...can you borrow an 800fsb cpu from someone else to try first???

most likly not, I will look around to see if any of my friends have the same socket and 800 FSB
