I picked up this Dell Insprion 5100 off C-List,guy said that it was giving beep codes and it did,it beeped for like 1 mintue straight but I could access the bios once it stopped beeping.I then re-seated the processor, video card and everything else, replaced the hard drive which was dead. Now I've got no beeps, just a normal post beep, but now I cant access the bios to set the boot priority, splash screen appears and says to press F2,it does nothing.

I've tried re-seating the keyboard connector numerous times, makes no difference and if i press a bunch of keys on it,it will beep so I know its responding.

I'm really stumped at this point.I'm not sure if it will recognize an external USB keyboard,it doesn't have ps2 ports.

Any Ideas?
