well.. i just recently installed WinXp...
and when i shutdown... and everything is off..
the light for the numlock key stays on

this only started to happen when i installed WinXp on it
and i had Win2k on it before... but it didnt have this prob

I personally think this is a mobo prob
and that's why i posted here
(if any moderator feels otherwise then by all means move this)
:D

well... any responses would be greatly appreciated...
hey thanks for even looking ;)

Im not sure, because i cant find it right now, but i think you can turn on the computer by pressing a key combo. I can start mine just by double clicking the mouse, sweet eh? Maybe someone else can confirm this. Mine stays on too btw.

i think there is a setting in bios that hcan have numlock off at start up try that and see wat happens. its in the advance bios features called boot up num lock status

This happened to me also on my mouse (light stayed on), as well as my keyboard.

I switched to the USB ports, and things are better.

Cheers,
F
