Changing settings in jumper free mode

I'm new at all this and have some Q's. I have a A7V333 and want to know if I have to unlock my cpu(1800+XP) to change settings when cpu is set to manuel. I would like any help any one could give me on this or anything else to do with this subject..THANKS

You only need to unlock the CPU to change the multiplier. All other settings can be changed with a locked CPU.
