I was just looking in the heatsink fan tips and I hav read it before but lately my delta has been getting really annoying when doing homework. I am looking at getting a 33cfm 80 led fan, 2500 rpms. How performance wise do you pplt hink it would compared to my 38cfm delta at 7k 60mm.

You can mount the fan like this.

The temps are only going to be alittle higher but so much quiter.

When I did this, I found a 2-3C decrease in temp as well as it being much quieter. I believe my 60mm was a 38 CFM (Delta), and the 80mm fan I switched to was 50 CFM (Sunon High Output?). BTW I had to tie the two clamps together (accross the top of the fan), but if you don't need to do this, that's cool.

I just built a new system and used an SK-6 and I totally forgot about the 80mm thing. Thanks for the reminder!
