If softwawre MOD fails on a 9500np, could the hardware MOD possibly work?

I think the hardware mod is just tricking the card to thinking that its a 9700 instead of a 9500 so when u install the drivers it would install the 9700 so the answer is no.

What I meant james was how does the driver hack emulate the hardmod with software coding. I was looking for a little more background on the development side of it.

I know about your "sticky".

I'd rather get it from the man himself if that's ok with you.
