which pci-x card has best value?

not including the x300, i am considering the x550, x600, x700, and x800. The X550 i have only seen at zipzoomfly, so i dont even know if it is an actual product. the other ones range from $80-120.

Also, is 256mb significantly better than 128?
 
At this point, 256MB will make a difference. I would personally avoid 128MB.

If you can get a X800 for ~$120, that's a good deal.
 
alright, thanks. that x800 was w/ rebates and i think it was 128mb, so i'll keep looking

but get this over on the dell forums this one person biought a PCIe card - and said he put it in his PCI slot..

some people should read up first before buying on the standards

Thats why ive begun to call it PEG as that is its proper abbreviation (PCI-E-GFX) and plus thats what Asus calls it too :)

Value is really reletive in terms of what you can find. The two to look at would either be a cheap x800PRO (under $200) or a 6600 non-GT/GT for under $100
