I recently switched to an old ati radeon 7000 on my athlon64 box because i had a power supply go and it fried my motherboard... needless to say i had an extra asrock motherboard around to take it's place, but it's a piece of crap lol and agp is only seen as pci (pci speeds, not agp 4/8x) for some reason.
i am having problems compiling x11-drm for on gentoo, it literally compiles forever till i kill it
anyway because of the poor graphics performance i switched out my nvidia 6800xt for an old radeon 7000 pci card that i had laying around so i could use the 6800 on another system.
now i can't get dri to work because x11-drm won't compile, and even if it does i don't know if it will work because i don't know if the ALI chipset is supported for dri.
